The final of the stretch of the 2022 travel circuit season is finally upon us and the Superbowl of grassroots basketball is almost set to tip off. The 2022 Run 4 Roses is set to tip off July 5th-8th in Louisville, KY, and this year it will be close to 1500 teams from multiple countries competing under one roof for this once in a lifetime event. Unlike in past years, the 2022 event will have games shown on the ESPN networks to give players a unique opportunity to highlight their talents in front of a broad national audience as well promote the women’s sport in a way like never before.
Also, this year, the Jr NBA has partnered with the event to launch some unique experiences for the participants of this year’s event during roses fest. There will be a sneaker design class where you will have a unique chance to design a shoe and enter for a chance to have an actual shoe customized with your design. Also, to continue to promote how important the growth of women’s sports is becoming, the WNBA and the Jr NBA will be hosting along with AT&T a part title Her Time to Play hosted by Ari Chambers where she will be speaking on topics like branding and leadership.
This year’s event is reaching far beyond the court and will be having hair braiding stations where players can have fun and unique hair styles to show off while they compete on the hardwood. In addition to the braiding stations, there will be recovery stations for players, photo booths, and so much more to add the incredible experience for participants. In addition, this year event will host the Nike EYBL teams for a stop on their circuit. In addition to the stop, the Championship game will be televised on ESPN U. Along with the EYBL Championship game, the 17U Aqua division final will also be shown on ESPN+ as well as the final for the prestigious Elite 40 that will be aired on ESPN U.
