Reese Beaty

The state of Tennessee has never been on the radar for quite some time with producing high level basketball recruits over the years. Class of 2025 G Reese Beaty out of the Jamestown area, is in line to keep that momentum going. She plays the game of basketball well beyond her years and is on pace to a player that leaves her mark on the state once she is gone to play at the next level. The fact that she is steadily improving and loves to be in the gym working on her skill set make her a recruit that is a top target for schools all over the country.

Standing at 5’8 and growing, Beaty is what many define as a true point guard. She is skilled enough offensively to play either of the guards’ positions on the floor. Her speed and IQ with the ball in her hands is one of the things that separates her from players regionally in her class. One of her biggest strengths is her ability to shoot the basketball from any spot on the floor. She also has a lightning quick first step and sees the floor very well. Although she has not matured physically, that does not stop her from attacking at the rim and finishing with contact.

Defensively she is the heart and soul on the floor. She has no problem taking on the opposing teams best perimeter player and shutting them down. She does not take a lot of costly chances on defense and stays true to her principles. Beaty plays the passing lanes well and gets many of her easy transition plays because of steals and deflections that come from a result of playing sound defense. Although she is only a sophomore, schools from all over the country have begun to take notice and put her name down as a prospect to watch closely over the next 12-18 months.

She currently holds offers from the likes of George Washington, Wofford, Murray St, Belmont, Tennessee Tech, Samford, and Furman.  During the travel season she competes with the national powerhouse FBC Reign squad.
