The 2022 Run 4 Roses event is set to tip off in Louisville, KY on July 5th with many of the top programs in the US and beyond competing to find out who is the queen of the court. This unique and one-of-a-kind event has an added twist this year with three of the championship games being aired on the family of ESPN networks. Over the course of the next few days, we will be looking at who are some of the top prospects in the different divisions and who the college coaches will be lined up to see. Below is a list of a few prospects in the 2023 AQUA Division who are primed to highlight their elite skills among the pack.
2023 Marina Radocaj-Become One UAA: Radocaj is dual forward who has no problems taking over a game at any point while she is on the court. The Richmond, BC native is no stranger to the spotlight and has the skillset to back it up. Standing at 6’2, she can play any position on the floor at the high school level and will be an immediate impact player once she is on campus at the next level. She has put in a lot of work in the off season on shooting the basketball and being a complete all-around player. Look for her name to one that is mentioned among the top players throughout the event as well as the remainder of the travel season.
2023 Mikaylah Williams-Mavs Elite: Williams is a player who goes without any introduction. Simply put, she is regarded as the top prospect in girls’ basketball regardless of class and you will not find many who will put up a debate. Offensively she checks off any box that it is in terms of skill and upside. The LSU commit has a passion for the game that is rarely seen at the high school level. She is one of few players who can dominate on the offensive end of the floor while also shutting down the opposing team’s top player. Look for her to try and lead a deep and talented Mavs squad to the championship game in this division that will be aired on national television.
2023 Casey Harter Comets UAA McFadden– Harter simply put is a bonified winner. The 5’11 G has a natural feel for the game and constantly works at improving in areas that she may be lacking in. Her defense is what may set her apart from the rest of the pack. She can flat out lock down opponents and make it difficult to get into a flow on the offensive end of the floor. She has a tight handle on the ball and sees plays before they happen. She is an elite passer as well as someone who can get into the paint and finish at the rim with her size. Northwestern will have the pleasure of having her on campus after high school but right now her mind is set on being a standout at this year’s event. Look forward to hearing her named mentioned as one of the top players throughout the course of the weekend.
2023 Hannah Kohn-Hoop Dreams Elite 3SSB– Kohn is flat out of the best shooters in the country. She has a lightning quick release and does not need much space to get her shot off. Aside from the shooting, she is a winner who will do whatever it takes to help her squad come out with the victory. She can play multiple positions on the floor as well as guard any perimeter player on the wing. Many of the colleges in attendance will be sitting front row to get a front seat at landing her on campus once her high school days are finished.
2023 Madison French Ohio Elite 17U – French is an elite level competitor who can hurt from the outside with her improved perimeter stroke as well and finish inside around the basket with either hand. Has a nice feel for the game and does not rush the issue in the halfcourt. She has very high basketball IQ which contributes to the fact of how well she is on the defensive end of the floor. A great teammate as well as a true leader on there on the court. The Miami of Ohio commit has her eyes set on taking home the crown at the Roses event and we fully expect for her to be on full display throughout the event.
